White Rabbit

White Rabbit

Client: White Rabbit

Summary of Project:  In the second semester of graduate school at Parsons, every section of our Integrative Studio course is paired with an external client in order to come up with solutions to challenges faced by different organizations. In a team of thirteen students, using design thinking methodologies, we developed strategic solutions to complicated situations through research methods, ideation processes, and theoretical frameworks. My team was paired up with White Rabbit, a real-time, peer-to-peer, SMS only city guide based in Berlin. The novice startup led by Luke Atcheson and Jan Tewes Thede, identified an opportunity to solve the tourist and city dweller desire to experience cities as locals.

Goal and Objective: Develop strategies to create a new business model that is both profitable and scalable.

Role in the Project: Lead research initiatives, create user journey maps, conduct interviews, lead editorial committee to co write white paper delivered to the client.

How can we develop a sustainable business model for this real-time, SMS based city guide that allows them to scale up, ensure the quality of their service, realize profitability and expand beyond Berlin? Using design thinking methodologies and design research techniques we designed and presented a strategy to White Rabbit after a 4 month team effort resulting in the book below. Enjoy!
