TEP Urban Ecology Challenge
Client: TEP (The Equity Project Charter School)
Objective: Solve a pressing urban issue in New York City. In a team of three, we researched missed opportunities in public school spaces that promoted learning with visual interventions. Develop a proposal to improve TEP's overall atmosphere and create a sense of ownership within the community.
Solution: Create a colorful wayfinding system for TEP's exterior spaces. Taking into account budget and time restrictions we delivered a solution integrating colors, aesthetics, and better communication in order to improve the middle school's visual appeal as well as the overall organization within its unconventional campus.
Role in the Team: Lead research initiatives, creative user journey maps, conduct workshops and interviews, cowrote white paper detailing design thinking process.
